We are guided by the principles of honesty, integrity, and fairness and these are at the core of Ideas Unlimited Promotions values. All employees of Ideas Unlimited Promotions are responsible for abiding by our core principles and this extends to our operations around the world.
Ideas Unlimited Promotions seeks and is committed to achieve ethically responsible commercial success without compromising its core values by adhering to the spirit and the letter of the code. To that end, we have adopted standards for the safety, quality and integrity of our products and processes and we are committed to respecting the rights of individuals. We are dedicated to complying with all applicable laws and to conduct business in an ethical and responsible manner.
Ideas Unlimited Promotions is dedicated to providing the highest quality products possible. It is our intent to distribute only safe, wholesome and lawful product to our customers. We take care to ensure that only our best leaves the premises. We consider it our responsibility to remove product from sale that has been deemed unsafe and recall from the marketplace. We will do so following the guidelines from Health Canada and CPSC (USA). We will comply with all applicable laws and regulations regarding safety of products we sell. We will meet applicable recognized voluntary industry standards for our products and processes.
We will not use child labour. All employees must meet the country’s minimum age provisions of applicable laws and regulations.
We will not use any form of forced labour, including indentured, prison, bonded and slave labour.
Harassment and Abuse
All employees are to be treated with respect and dignity. We do not condone nor will we subject our employees to physical, verbal, psychological or sexual harassment or abuse.
We strive to be fair and objective in our actions. We will not discriminate in hiring and employment practices on the basis of age, nationality, race, religion, social or ethical orientation, gender, marital status, disability or any other status protected by local law.
Hours and Wages
We will comply with all applicable local laws regarding wage, work hours, hiring, benefits and overtime. Employees are not required to work more that the regular and overtime hours allowed by law of the country or province where they are employed. Any overtime is on a voluntary basis. Where customers require a specific limit on hours of work, we agree to comply with their terms when working on their orders.
Workplace Conditions and Health & Safety
We are committed to providing a safe, healthy and secure working environment. We will abide by all applicable laws and regulations for safety and health. We will endeavour to have an accident and injury free workplace.
Freedom of Association
We recognize and respect the rights of employees to freedom of association, to associate or organize without fear of reprisal or interference.
Informed workplace/notification to Employees
Ideas Unlimited Promotions shall notify employees of the terms of the standards outlined and will post the Code of Conduct in a prominent place accessible to all employees. Regular training and review of the benefits and standards will be done.
Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement (ACTA)
Ideas Unlimited Promotions complies with the Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement (ACTA) which puts in place international standards for enforcing intellectual property rights in order to fight more efficiently the growing problems of counterfeiting and piracy. The agreement, of which Canada is a partner, covers three areas: improving international cooperation, establishing best practices for enforcement, and providing a more effective legal framework
Environmental Policy Statement
We believe that businesses are responsible for achieving good environmental practice and operating in a sustainable manner. We are therefore committed to reducing our environmental impact and continually improving our environmental performance as an integral and fundamental part of our business strategy and operating methods. It is our priority to encourage our customers, suppliers and all business associates to do the same. Not only is this sound commercial sense for all; it is also a matter of delivering on our duty of care towards future generations.
Our policy is to
• Wholly support and comply with or exceed the requirements of current environmental legislation and codes of practice.
• Minimize our waste and reuse or recycle as much as possible.
• Minimize energy and water usage in our buildings, vehicles and processes in order to conserve supplies and minimize our consumption of natural resources, especially where they are non-renewable.
• Operate and maintain company vehicles with due regard to environmental issues as far as reasonably practical and encourage the use of alternative means of transport and car sharing as appropriate.
• Apply the principals of continuous improvement in respect of air, water, noise and light pollution from our premises and reduce any impacts from our operations on the environment and local community.
• As far as possible purchase products and services that do the least damage to the environment and encourage others to do the same.
• Assess the environmental impact of any new processes or products we intend to introduce in advance.
• Ensure that all employees understand our environmental policy and conform to the high standards it requires.
• Address complaints about any breach of our Environmental Policy promptly and to the satisfaction of all concerned.
• Update our Environmental Policy annually in consultation with staff, associates and customers.
Human Rights Suppliers and our Supply-Chain
The management of Ideas Unlimited Promotions is committed to the prevention of Human Rights Violations in any aspect of our business and supply-chain. We will take whatever steps are reasonable to ensure both we and our suppliers are in full compliance with all known Canadian and as applicable local and international legislation regarding these matters. This is a “zero violation tolerance” policy.
Everyone directly involved with our suppliers are expected to uphold this policy and to work together to ensure full compliance. Each person involved will also ensure suppliers provide signed certification of their compliance with our policy (Reference: Ideas Unlimited Promotions Supplier Certification Document).
Ideas Unlimited Promotions as the employer will ensure this policy and the supporting program are implemented, maintained and reviewed annually and that all employees contracting with suppliers have the appropriate information, tools, instructions and understanding to ensure they are equipped to support this policy.
Senior Management pledges to investigate and deal with any suspected violations in a fair and timely manner.
Suppliers will be subject to un-announced 3rd party “Social and Environmental Compliance” inspections.
Product Safety and Social Compliance
Ideas Unlimited Promotions is committed to ethical and socially responsible business practice. In order to meet the product safety and compliance expectations of our market place, Ideas Unlimited Promotions insists all suppliers and all our products meet our design, material composition, product quality along with social and environmental standards.
Using accredited laboratory product testing and supported by a comprehensive documentation and data storage process Ideas Unlimited Promotions diligently continues to work to ensure the compliance of our products to Provincial/State and Federal safety and compliance regulations. Products are tested for compliance to CPSC, CCPSA, Health Canada, BPA and where applicable local provincial/state materials and product design safety standards.
In compliance with Transparency in the Supply Chain regulations, all our suppliers must certify their compliance with our social and ethical compliance standards. We support this program with unannounced on site factory audits annually to ensure the ongoing supplier compliance to product quality, social and safety compliance and proper environmental practice.
